इस जम्बूद्वीप में सूर्य एक सौ बयासीवें मंडल को दो बार संक्रमण कर संचार करता है । यथाएक बार निकलते समय और दूसरी बार प्रवेश करते समय ।
In the continent of Jambu the sun enters into the eighty secondth orbit moving twice:- once at the time ofcoming out of it and secondly at the time of enteringinto it.
३८२ - समणे णं भगवं महावीरे वासीइं राइदिएहिं वीइक्कंतेहिं गब्भाओ गब्धं साहरिए । श्रमण भगवान महावीर बयासी रात-दिन बीतने के बाद देवानन्दा ब्राह्मणी के गर्भ से त्रिशला क्षत्रियाणी के गर्भ में संहृत किए गए।
After the expiry of eighty two days and nights (the foetus of) Shraman Bhagwan Mahavir was placed into the womb of Trishala of kshatriya clan from the womb of Devananda Brahmani.
३८३ - महाहिमवंतस्स णं वासहरपव्वयस्स उवरिल्लाओ चरमंताओ सोगंधियस्स कंडस्स हेट्ठिल्ले चरमंते एस णं वासीइं जोयणसयाइं अबाहाए अंतरे पण्णत्ते । एवं रुप्पिस्स वि ।
महाहिमवन्त वर्षधर पर्वत के ऊपरी चरमान्तभाग से सौगन्धिक काण्ड का अधस्तन चरमान्त भाग बयासी सौ योजन के अन्तर वाला कहा गया है। इसी प्रकार रुक्मी वर्षधर पर्वत का भी अन्तर जानना चाहिए।
From the upper extreme end part of Mahahimvant Varshdhar mountain to the west extreme end part of Sougandhik Kaand the distance has been said equal to eighty two hundred yojanas. In the same way the distance of Mountain Rukami should be known.

३८४ - समणे (णं) भगवं महावीरं वासीइ राइदिएहिं वीइकंतेहिं तेयासीइमे राइदिए माणे गभाओ गब्धं साहरिए ।
श्रमण भगवान महावीर स्वामी बयासी रात-दिनों के बाद तिरासीवें रात-दिन के वर्तमान होने पर देवानन्दा के गर्भ से त्रिशला के गर्भ में संहृत हुए ।
