रसोईघर के स्वामी से रसोईघर में प्रवेश की आज्ञा प्राप्त करके छत की ऊँचाई तक हाथ पहुँच सके, ऐसा साधन लेकर साधु यदि धुआँ उतार ले तो उसे किसी प्रकर का प्रायश्चित्त नहीं आता है।
रसोईघर में प्रवेश की आज्ञा न मिलने से या शारीरिक असामर्थ्य से साधु स्वयं गृहधूम न उतार सके तो अन्य से गृहधूम उतरवाने पर उसे गुरु मासिक प्रायश्चित्त आता है।
साधु किस कार्य के लिए स्वयं गृहधूम उतारे या अन्य से उतरवाये, इसका समाधान चूर्णिकार ने इस प्रकार किया है
साधु के दाद, खुजली आदि किसी प्रकार चर्मरोग हो जाये तो वह गृहधूम से उसकी चिकित्सा स्वयं करे, किन्तु चूर्णिकार ने यह नहीं बताया कि 'गृहधूम' का प्रयोग किस प्रकार किया जाये। अतः किसी कुशल वैद्य से अथवा चर्मरोग विशेषज्ञ से गृहधूम के प्रयोग की विधि जान लेनी चाहिए ।
Comments-The accumulated particles of the smoke on the walls and ceiling of the kitchen is called “Grahdhoom".
Having taken permission of entering into the kitchen and at extending hands upto the ceiling if the ascetic gets removed smoke from the ceiling then the question of atonement does not arise.
If the permission is not granted to enter into the kitchen or the ascetic is not able to remove the smoke by stretching his hand upto the ceiling, he gets removed the smoke from some other persons then an expiation of Guru masik comes to him.
The commentator has commented for the solution of removing the smoke by the ascetic himself or getting removed by other as follows:
The ascetic cures ringworm, searches etc. diseases through the smoke or gets done by some doctors. That the method of using it is not mentioned by commentator. Therefore, the method of treatment using the smoke should be learnt from any proficient vaida or skin expert doctor.
पूतिकर्म - प्रायश्चित्त "PUTIKARAM" ATONEMENT
५८. जे भिक्खूं पूइकम्मं भुंजइ भुंजंतं वा साइज्जइ ।
५८. जो भिक्षु पूतिकर्म दोष से युक्त आहार, उपधि व वसति का उपयोग करता है अथवा करने वाले का समर्थन करता है ( उसे गुरुमासिक प्रायश्चित्त आता है। )
58. The ascetic who uses the food, object of usual use and residing place made of "Putikarama faults" or supports the ones who uses so.
One month (Gurumasik) expiation comes to him.
विवेचन- पूतिकर्म दोष तीन प्रकार का होता है- १. आहारपूतिकर्म, २. उपधिपूतिकर्म, ३. शय्यापूतिकर्म । १. आहार- पूतिकर्म - यह दो प्रकार का है- १. दूषित पदार्थों से संस्कृत आहार जब निर्दोष आहार आधाकर्मादि दोषयुक्त हींग, नमक आदि से मिश्रित हो जाए तो वह आहार पूतिकर्म दोषयुक्त हो जाता है। २. दूषित
