| चित्र-परिचय 1|
ब्रह्मचर्य रवंडित करने वाले साधु-साध्वी को लघुमासिक प्रायश्चित्त आता है ____ प्रस्तुत चित्र में सात दृष्टान्तों के माध्यम से साधु द्वारा अंगादान के संचालनादि का निषेध किया गया है। अंगादान का अर्थ है-शरीर का ऐसा अवयव जो अंगों के उत्पादन में हेतुभूत है। साधु द्वारा अंगादान के साथ अमर्यादित कुचेष्टाएँ करने से ब्रह्मचर्य का विनाश होता है। ब्रह्मचर्य खंडित होने के सात दृष्टांत दिये गये हैं1.
जिस प्रकार सोये शेर को जगाने पर मृत्यु निश्चित है, उसी प्रकार अंगादान का संचालन करने वाला अपने ब्रह्मचर्य को के खंडित करता है।
-31, सू.2 2. जिस प्रकार साँप की पूँछ पर पैर रखने वाले व्यक्ति को साँप डस लेता है, उसी प्रकार अंगादान का मर्दन करने वाला अपने ब्रह्मचर्य का विनाश करता है।
-3.1, सू.3 जिस प्रकार अग्नि में घी डालने पर अग्नि अत्यधिक प्रज्जवलित होती है, उसी प्रकार अंगादान की मालिश करने पर कामाग्नि बढ़ती है।
-3.1, सू.4 अंगादान का उबटन ब्रह्मचर्य के लिए, भाले की तीक्ष्ण धार के समान अत्यधिक घातक होता है। -3.1,सू.5 जिस प्रकार बीमार-भूखे सिंह की आँखों में दवाई डालने वाले वैद्य को ही सिंह खा जाता है, उसी प्रकार अंगादान के प्रक्षालन से ब्रह्मचर्य खंडित हो जाता है।
-उ.1,सू. 6 अंगादान के त्वचा आवरण को ऊपर करना, सोये अजगर के मुँह खोलने जैसा है।
-उ.1,सू.7 जिस प्रकार अम्बेष्ठी रोग से ग्रसित राजा आम को सँघते ही मर जाता है, उसी प्रकार मर्दित अंगादान सँघने पर ब्रह्मचर्य का विनाश हो जाता है।
-उ.1, सू.8 A Sadhu or Sadhvi, who maligns the vow of celibacy is
liable for Laghumasik atonement. In this illustration, with the help of seven examples, the movement of angadan by a sadhu is prohibited. Angadan means such a part of the body which helps in emergence of any limb. In case a monk engages in any undesirable activity with angadan, his celibacy gets adversely affected. Seven examples of adverse effect of celibacy have been mentioned as under:
In case a person awakens a lion, his death is certain, similarly one who moves his angadan, his celibacy is definitely affected.
-Uddeshak 1, Sutra 2 A snake bites the person who places his foot on its tail. Similarly one who rubs his angadan, he destroys his celibacy.
-Udd. 1, Su. 3 When ghee is poured in the fire, it becomes very much sharp. Similarly with the massage of angadan, the sexual desire overpowers.
-Udd. 1,Su.4 The polishing and turning of angadan is deadly like the sharp edge of a javelin.
-Udd. 1,Su.5 In case a physician tries to put medicine in the eye of a hungry sick tiger, the tiger devours him. Similarly by deeply washing angadan, the vow of celibacy is destroyed. –Udd. 1, Su. 6 Lifting the covering layer of angadan is like the opening the mouth of deadly snake.
. -Udd. 1,Su.7 The king, who is suffering from disease related to desire for mangoes, dies in case he smells a 41 mango. Similarly by smelling the rubbed angadan, the vow of celibacy gets destroyed.
