The ascetic who has accepted the expiation of five months less of five nights if repents purposefully, with vested interest or with some reasons in the beginnings, in the middle or in the end deserving it fit for two months expiation then neither less nor more then the expiation of twenty night of attribution comes, and by including it, the attribution becomes of five and a half months. THE SUMMARY OF THE TWENTIETH CHAPTER सूत्र 1-5 एक मास प्रायश्चित्त स्थान से लेकर पाँच मास तक के प्रायश्चित्त स्थान की निष्कपट
आलोचना का उतने उतने मास का प्रायश्चित्त आता है। कपटयुक्त आलोचना करने पर एक गुरु मास का प्रायश्चित्त अधिक आता है। छह मास या उससे अधिक प्रायश्चित्त स्थान की आलोचना सकपट या निष्कपट करने पर भी केवल छह मास ही प्रायश्चित्त आता है। इसके आगे प्रायश्चित्त विधान नहीं है, जिस
प्रकार राज्य व्यवस्था में 20 वर्ष से अधिक जेल की सजा नहीं है। सूत्र 6-10 अनेक बार सेवन किए गए प्रायश्चित्त स्थान की आलोचना के विषय में पूर्व सूत्रवत्
प्रायश्चित्त समझना चाहिए। सूत्र 11-12 मासिक आदि प्रायश्चित्त स्थानों की द्विक संयोगी भंगों से युक्त आलोचना के प्रायश्चित्त
भी पूर्व सूत्रवत् समझना चाहिए। सूत्र 13-14 पूरे मास या साधिक मास स्थानों की आलोचना का प्रायश्चित्त कपट सहित या कपटरहित
आदि पूर्व सूत्र के समान समझना चाहिए। सूत्र 15 एक बार सेवित दोष स्थान की कपट रहित आलोचना के प्रायश्चित्त को वहन करते हुए
पुनः लगाए जाने वाले दोषों की दो चौभंगी के किसी भी भंग से आलोचना करने पर
प्रायश्चित्त की आरोपणा की जाती है। सूत्र 16
एक बार सेवित स्थान को कपटयुक्त आलोचना का प्रायश्चित्त वहन एवं उसमें आरोपणा
पूर्व सूत्रों के समान समझ लेना चाहिए। सूत्र 17-18 अनेक बार सेवित स्थान सम्बन्धी सम्पूर्ण वर्णन उक्त दोनों सूत्र के समान ही इन दो सूत्रों का
समझ लेना चाहिए। सूत्र 19-24 एक मास से लेकर छह मास तक किसी भी प्रायश्चित्त के वहनकाल में लगे दो मास
