रावण द्वारा सीता का हरण और राम से विराध का मिलन
योगशास्त्र द्वितीय प्रकाश श्लोक ९९ पड़ेंगे; क्योंकि उन दोनों में परस्पर ऐसा संकेत हुआ है। अतः ऐसा ही करूंगी तो तुम्हारा काम बन जायेगा। यों कहकर अवलोकनविद्यादेवी ने वहां से कुछ दूर जाकर लक्ष्मण का-सा सिंहनाद किया। उसे सुनते ही सीता को वहीं अकेली छोड़कर राम लक्ष्मण को सहायता के लिए एकदम दौड़ पड़े। मायावी की माया से महान् पुरुष भी विडंबना में पड़ जाते हैं। राम के जाते ही रावण झटपट विमान से नीचे उतरा और सहसा सीता को पकड़कर मैं तेरा हरण करने वाला रावण हूं। यों कहते हुए जबर्दस्ती पुष्पक विमान में बिठाकर ले उड़ा।
इस अप्रत्याशित घटना से सीता हक्कीबक्की हो गयी। असहाय सीता विलाप करने लगी-हे नाथ! हे राम! हा वत्स लक्ष्मण! ओ पिताजी! अय महाभुजा वाले भाई भामंडल! तुम्हारी सीता को यह उसी तरह हरण किये लिये जा रहा है, जिस तरह कौआ बलि को लेकर आकाश में उड़ जाता है। सीता इस प्रकार उच्चस्वर से रोने लगी, मानों आकाशमंडल को रुला दिया हो। इतने में जटायुपक्षी भी विमान का पीछा करता हुआ तेजी से उड़ा। विमान के निकट आकर उसने कहा- 'बेटी! डर मत! मैं आ पहुंचा हूं। रावण को फटकारते हुए वह बोला-अरे राक्षस! तूं कहां इस पवित्र नारी को लिए जा रहा है? खड़ा रह।' भामंडल का अनुगामी विद्याधर रत्नजटी भी रावण को ललकारता हुआ तिरस्कारपूर्वक बोला-'अरे चोर! ठहर जा! अभी तेरी खबर लेते हैं। जटायुपक्षी रावण की छाती पर अपने पैर के तीखे नखों से मारने लगा। रावण ने गीध से कहा-बूढे गीध! क्या तूं अपनी जिंदगी से ऊब गया है, मालूम होता है, तेरी मौत निकट आ गयी है। यों कहते हुए चंद्रहास तलवार से उसके पंख काट डाले। वह छटपटाता हुआ, नीचे गिर गया
और वहीं उसके प्राणपंखेरू उड़ गये। उस विद्याधर की विद्या का रावण ने हरण कर लिया, इसलिए वह भी पंख कटे | पक्षी की तरह जमीन पर औंधे मुंह गिर पड़ा। इस प्रकार अपने को बचाता हुआ रावण सीता को लेकर लंका पहुंचा और वहां अपनी अशोकवाटिका में उसे रखा। सीता को प्रलोभन देकर अपने वश में करने के लिए उसने त्रिजटा राक्षसी भेजी।
इधर लक्ष्मण शत्रु को मारकर वापिस लौट रहा था कि सामने से आते हुए राम उसे मिले।' लक्ष्मण ने पूछा-'भैया! सीता को अकेली छोड़कर आप यहां क्यों आ गये?' राम ने कहा-'मैं तेरे द्वारा किये हुए संकटसूचक सिंहनाद को सुनकर तत्काल दौड़ा हुआ आ रहा हूं।' लक्ष्मण बोला-भैया! मैंने तो कोई सिंहनाद नहीं किया। मालूम होता है, किसी और ने नकली सिंहनाद करके हमें धोखा दिया है। निःसंदेह किसी धूर्त ने आर्यसती का हरण करने के लिए ही यह प्रपंच रचा है। राम भी-'ठीक है, ठीक है' यों कहकर लक्ष्मण के साथ ही अपने आश्रम पर वापिस लौट आये। परंतु सीता को वहां नहीं देखकर उन्हें वज्राघात-सा लगा। 'हे सीते! तूं कहां गयी?' यों विलाप करते हुए रांम धड़ाम से मूर्छित होकर भूमि पर गिर पड़े। कुछ ही देर में जब होश आया तो लक्ष्मण ने कहा-'भैया! असहाय अवस्था में विपत्ति आ पड़ने पर रोना व्यर्थ है, अब तो हमें विपत्ति-निवारण का पुरुषार्थ करना चाहिए। यही सच्चा उपाय है, उसी समय एक पुरुष ने आकर दोनों को नमस्कार किया। और पूछने पर अपनी घटना बताते हुए कहने लगा-मैं पाताललंकाधिपति चंद्रोदय का पुत्र हं। मेरे पिता को मारकर रावण ने उनके स्थान खर को राजा बनाया है. मानो, घोडे का स्थान गधे को दिया गया है। उस समय मेरी गर्भवती माता ने वहां से भागकर एक सुरक्षित स्थान में शरण ली थी और वहीं मुझे जन्म दिया। एक दिन माताजी को किसी मुनि ने कहा-'जब खर आदि को दशरथपुत्र राम मारेंगे, तभी तुम्हारे पुत्र को पाताललंका की राजगद्दी सौंपकर राजा बनाया जायेगा। इसमें जरा भी संशय मत करना। अतः मैं आपको ढूंढता हुआ, | यहां आकर आपसे मिला हूं। आज से मैं आपका आश्रय ले रहा हूं। मुझे आप मेरे पिता के वैरी का वध करने के बदले
खरीदा हुआ सेवक समझें। इस पर महाभुजा वाले श्रीराम उसे साथ लेकर पाताललंका का राज्य दिलाने हेतु चले। | 'समयज्ञ स्वामी अपने कार्यों से स्वतः सफल होते हैं।' लक्ष्मण के साथ राम उसे लेकर राजगद्दी दिलाने जा रहे थे | कि रास्ते में भामंडल का एक सेवक विद्या रहित होकर पड़ा हुआ देखा। वह होश में था। इसलिए उसने जटायु, सीता
