Chapter 81
THE WAY OF HEAVEN
True words are not fine-sounding; Fine-sounding words are not true. A good man does not argue; He who argues is not a good man. The wise one does not know many things; He who knows many things is not wise. The Sage does not accumulate (for himself). He lives for other people, and grows richer himself; He gives to other people, and has greater abundance, The Tao of Heaven blesses, but does not harm. The way of the Sage accomplishes, but does not contend.

स्वर्ग का ढंग
सच्चे शब्द कर्ण-मधुर नहीं होते हैं, कर्ण-मधुर शब्द सच्चे नहीं होते। सज्जन विवाद नहीं करता है, जो विवाद करता है, वह सज्जन नहीं। बुद्धिमान व्यक्ति बहुत बातें नहीं जानता है, जो बहुत बातें जानता है, वह बुद्धिमान नहीं। संत अपने लिए संगठनहीं करते। वे दूसरे लोगों के लिए जीते है, और स्वयं समृद्ध होते जाते । वे दूसरों को दान देते हैं, और स्वयं बढ़ती प्रचुरता को उपलब्ध होते हैं। स्वर्ग का ताओ आशीर्वाद देता है, लेकिन ठानि नहीं करता। संत का ढंग संपन्न करता है, लेकिन संघर्ष नहीं करता।
