WEAPONS OF EVIL
Even in victory, there is no beauty, And who calls it beautiful Is one who delights in slaughter. He who delights in slaughter Will not succeed in his ambition to rule the world. (The things of good omen favour the left. The things of ill omen favour the right. The lieutenant-general stands on the left, The general stands on the right. That is to say, it is celebrated as a Funeral Rite.) The slaying of multitudes should be mourned with sorrow. A victory should be celebrated with the Funeral Rite.

अनिष्ट के शस्त्रास्त्र
विजय में भी कोई सौंदर्य नहीं है।
और जो इसमें सौंदर्य देवता है, वह वही है, जो रक्तपात में रस लेता है। और जिसे हत्या में रस है, वह संसार पर शासन करने की अपनी महत्वाकांक्षा में सफल नहीं होगा। (शुभ लक्षण की चीजें वामपक्ष को चाहती है, अशुभ लक्षण की चीजें दक्षिणपक्ष को। उप-सेनापति वामपक्ष में खड़ा होता है, आँर सेनापति दक्षिणपक्ष में। अर्थात, अंत्येष्टि क्रिया की भांति यह मनाया जाता है।) हजारों की हत्या के लिए शोकानुभूति जरूरी है, और विजय का उत्सव अंत्येष्टि क्रिया की भांति मनाया जाना चाहिए।
