The घत्ता of this K. is to be contacted with K.4. ध्रुवक. See. T. [K. 4.] 1. भिसिय-agourd. T. पटुली. 5-6. The birth of व्यास; 7-8. The example of रावण. See. T. [K. 5.] 3. सकियत्थउ =सुकियत्थउ Such examples are found as early as in वसुदेवहिंडि of संघदास. 12. सारउ-essentially good. 13. From this line the other part of संजम viz. पाणिसु संजमु =जीवदया is introduced. — Restraint with regard to other animals' is important (गरुयउ), and bringing great merit. [K. 6.] 2. थावर=sk. स्थावराः (जीवाः): They are of three kinds viz. पृथ्वीकाय, जलकाय and वनस्पतिकाय. See तत्त्वार्थ 2.3 3. पंचपयार वि अण्णइ तह वियल-तेजःकाय, वायुकाय, द्वीन्द्रिय, त्रीन्द्रिय and चतुरिन्द्रियः These are त्रसजीवs. Note T. द्वीन्द्रियादि विकलत्रयं and to add to these three two kinds of त्रसजीवs i.e. तेजःकाय and वायुकाय. See तत्त्वार्थ० २.१४. तेजोवायू द्वीन्द्रियादयश्च त्रसाः ॥१४॥ 4. Refers to पञ्चन्द्रिय जीवs and असंज्ञिकs and संज्ञिका. तत्त्वार्थ०. २.११. divides जीवs into समनस्काऽमनस्काः ॥ ११॥ cf. also तत्त्वार्थ २.२५ संज्ञिनः समनस्काः ॥ 5. पजत्तापज्जत्तय–पर्याप्त and अपर्याप्त. Those जीवs who can complete by their actions the fulfilment due to them and those sites which cannot by their actions complete the fulfilment due to them. See तत्त्वार्थ 8. 12. Perhaps the author implies the division of जीवs in two kinds संसारिणः ( =अपर्याप्ताः)and मुक्ताः ( = पर्याप्ताः ) f. तत्त्वार्थ० २.१०. संसारिणो मुक्ताश्च ॥ 7. आवइ आवइ =sk. आपद् आयाति. cf. this phrase in Hc. 8.4.400. 14. पंचमगइ -(sk. पंचमगतिः-मोक्षः)
