Panditaratnam K.S. Varadacharya not only edited this work but also has written valuable commentary on this work, while he was in service as the Senior Research Assistant in the Oriental Research Institute, Mysore. Even after retirement, he has been kind enough to fill up the lucunae by way of seeing the work through the press. The Institute is grateful to him for the noble and valuable service.
• While bringing out the present critical edition
of Jayantabhattas' 'Nyāyamañjari' in addition to the manuscripts reserved in the Oriental Research Institute, we have also made use of the manuscripts kindly lent by Vidwan Athmakur Dikshacharya, Retd. professor of vedanta, Maharajas Sanskrit College Mysore, the authorities of the Government Manuscript Oriental Library Madras and Ganganatha Jha Research Institute Allahabad.
