KUMĀRAPALACARITA
It shows that the Ms. was written at Patan in Gujrat, in Samvat 1570 or 1514 A. D. This Ms. was obtained for the late Mr. Pandit by his friend the late Mr. Hariprasad Santokhrambhai Desai of Bhavnagar.
C. This was a Ms. obtained by the late Mr. Pandit through the same gentleman. It was written in Bhavnagar and completed on 10th March 1883. It consists of 131 leaves, 12" x 9". It does not give any more details.
D. This Ms., forming the collection of the Deccan College and now deposited at the Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute, is one of the whole of the Dvyās'raya Kāvya (now printed in BSS. Nos. LXIX and LXXVI) and consists of 473 leaves, 10"x4" with 17 lines to a page. The first 387 leaves contain the Sanskrit Dvyāśraya Kāvya and its Vrtti illustrating Sanskrit grammar; and the remaining leaves contain the Prakrit Dvyāsraya Kāvya with its Vrtti. The first and the last of the leaves are unfortunately lost and hence it is not possible to ascertain its age.
(B) THE APPENDIX A. This Ms. of the eighth chapter of Siddha-Hemacandra or Sabdānusāsana consists of 44 leaves, 105" x 4", and has 15 to 16 lines to a page. It was written in Avanti or Ujjain, in Samvat 1612 or 1555 A.D. It was obtained by the late Mr. Pandit from the library of Seth Manibhai Premabhai of Ahmedabad.
P. This is the printed edition of R. Pischel, "Grammatik der Prakrit Sprachen, Halle, 1877. This edition is based on a collation of six MSS. and B for which see below,
B. This is the printed edition entitled "Prākrita Bălabhāsā Magadhi" by Krishnashastri Mahabalesvar of Bombay and published in Samvat 1929 or 1873 A.D.
