देवतामूर्ति-प्रकरणम् ..
मातरश्चण्डिकाग्रे स्युर्यक्षा: क्षेत्रादिभैरवः। स्वे स्वे स्थाने सुरा: स्थाप्या ये यस्याऽपि हितावहाः ॥२०॥
चण्डिका के सामने मातृदेवी, यक्षों या भैरव क्षेत्रपाल आदि देवों को स्थापन करना, सब देवों को अपने-अपने स्थान में स्थापन करना या जो देव जिस देव को हितकारक हो, उसको स्थापन करना अच्छा है।
Placing statues of the mother-goddesses in front of a Chandika idol is permissible, as are Yakshas, Kshetrapalas and so forth, before Bhairava. All the deities should be installed in their own prescribed places, or in other appropriate places where they will be beneficial for the world. (20).
ब्रह्मविष्ण्वोरेकनाभिर्जिमे दोषो न विद्यते । शिवाग्रे चान्यदेवस्य दृष्टिवेधे महद्भयम् ॥२१ ॥
ब्रह्मा, विष्णु और जिन ये तीनों परस्पर एक नाभि हों, अर्थात् सामने दृष्टि ' वेध हो तो उसका दोष नहीं है। परन्तु शिव के सामने दूसरे देवों का दृष्टिवेध हो तो बड़ा भय उत्पन्न करता है। .
__Brahma, Vishnu and Jina, being of one nabhi (relationship) may have their lines of vision crossing each others without any harm ensuing. However, immensc fear will be generated if Siva's line of vision crosses that of other deities - i.e. if other statues are positioned so as to cross sight with Siva. (21).
ब्रह्मा विष्णुः शशी सूर्य इन्द्रः स्कन्दो हुताशनः । दिक्पाला लोकपालाश्च ग्रहा मातृगणास्तथा ॥२२॥ एते शिवाश्रये स्थाप्या दृष्टिवेधविवर्जिताः ।
दृष्टिपातहिता यत्र पुराधं न प्ररोहति ॥२३॥
ब्रह्मा, विष्णु, चंद्रमा, सूर्य, इन्द्र, कार्तिकेय, अग्नि, दिक्पाल, लोकपाल, ग्रह और मातृगण ये शिवालय में शिव की दृष्टिवेध छोड़ कर स्थापन करे। उनका दर्शन नगर के पाप को उत्पन्न नहीं करता ॥
