शनि
देवतामूर्ति-प्रकरणम्
सौरिं नीलसमाभासं गृध्रारुढं चतुर्भुजम् ।
वरदं बाणसंयुक्तं चापशूलधरं लिखेत् ॥५५ ॥
शनि नील वर्ण का, गीध पक्षी की सवारी करने वाला, चार भुजा वाला है । प्रत्येक भुजा में वरदान, बाण, धनुष और त्रिशूल को धारण करता है ।
Shani—Blue-hucd Shani, the planet Saturn, rides a vulture. 3 He has four arms. One hand is in the blessing-mode, while the other thrce hold an arrow, a bow and a trident respectively. (55).
राहु
सिंहासनगतं राहुं करालवदनं लिखेत् ।
वरदं खड्गसंयुक्तं खेटशूलधरं लिखेत् ॥ ५६ ॥
राहु सिंहासन पर बैठा हुआ, भयङ्कर मुख वाला है, भुजाओं में वरदान, तलवार, ढाल और त्रिशूल को कारण करने वाला है ।
Rahu-Rahu should be depicted with a fearsome face, and seated on a Simhasana (a throne). One hand is in the blessing position and the others hold a sword, a shield and a trident. (56).
केतु
धूम्रा द्विबाहवः सर्वे वरदाश्च गदाधराः । गृध्रपृष्ठसमारूढा लेखनीयास्तु केतवः ॥ ५७ ॥
सब जाति के केतु धूऑ के जैसे वर्ण वाले, दो भुजा वाले, वरदान और गदा को धारण करने वाले और गीध पक्षी की सवारी करने वाले हैं 1
Ketu - Ketu is delineated as being the colour of smoke. He has two arms, with one hand in the blessing position and the other holding a mace. Ketu rides on the back of a vulture. This description applies to all categories of images of Ketu ( 57 ).
