The figure is the product of the Svetāmbara sect in asmuch as the Jina here is rendered as female which is in conformity with the Svetāmbara tradition. 24. Jina Neminātha (22nd), seated in meditation on a simhāsana with aşta-mahäprätihāryas and yakşa-yakși pair (yakși being Ambikā, traditionally associated with Neminātha), the latter being carved below the simhāsana, Rajgha (Varanasi, U. P.), ca, seventh century A. D., Bharat Kala Bhavan, Varanasi (212). 27. Jina Neminātha (22nd), standing as sky-clad in käyotsarga-mudra with aşta-mahāprätihāryas and yakşa-yakși pair and also accompanied by two-armed Balarāma and four-armed Kļņa Vāsudeva on two flanks, Temple No.2, Deogarh (Lalitpur, U. P.), 10th century A.D. 28. Jina Neminātha (22nd), standing in kāyotsarga-mudra and wearing a dhoti (Svetāmbara) with prātihäryas, tiny Jina figures and four-armed Balarāma and Krsna Vāsudeva, Mathura (? U. P.), 11th century A. D., State Museum, Lucknow (66.53). The lower portion of the image is, however, damaged. 29.
