उत्तर १८७-असंखेज्जजीविया दुविहा पण्णता तं जहा-एगठिया य बुहबीयगा य।
A. 187. They are of two types, viz., those with a single seed, and those with many seeds.
प्रश्न १८८-से किं तं एगठिया ?
Q. 188. What are those with a single seed, pray ?
उत्तर १८८-एगठिया अणेगविहा पण्णत्ता तं जहा-णिंबंबजंबु एवं जहा पण्णवणापए जाव...फला बहुबीयगा। सेत्तं बहुबीयगा। सेत्तं असंखेज्ज जीविया।
A. 188, They are of many types, viz., neem, mango, berry, as stated in the Prajñāpanā, till with many seeds. They have an unlimited number of souls.
प्रश्न १८९-से कि तं अणंतजीविया ?
Q. 189. And what are those with an infinite number of souls ?
उत्तर १८९---अणंतजीविया अणेगविहा पण्णत्ता तं जहा - आलुए मूलए सिंगबेरे एवं जहा सत्तमसए जाव...सिउंढी मुसुंढी जे यावण्णे तहप्पगारा। सेत्तं अणंतजीविया ।
A. 189. They are of many types, such as, potato, raddish, ginger, as stated in Book Seven above, till siundi and musundi. State each as it is.
