हस्तप्रतियों से पाठ-संपादन का कार्य अत्यन्त दुरूह है । नवांगी टीकाकार अभयदेवसूरि जैसे सक्षम आचार्य ने इस संदर्भ में आने वाली विभिन्नताओं और कठिनाइयों का वर्णन किया है फिर भी उन्होंने श्रुत की उपासना का महान् कार्य किया। उन्हीं को आदर्श मानकर पूज्यवरों द्वारा प्रेरित होकर यह कार्य प्रारम्भ किया और यत्किंचित श्रुत की उपासना की ।
हस्तप्रति - परिचय
पिण्डनिर्युक्ति के सम्पादन में निम्न प्रतियों एवं स्रोतों का उपयोग किया गया है
(अ) यह प्रति देला का उपाश्रय अहमदाबाद से प्राप्त है। इसकी क्रमांक संख्या ११४५८ है । यह ३० सेमी. लम्बी तथा ११ सेमी. चौड़ी है। इसकी पत्र संख्या १४ तथा अंतिम पृष्ठ खाली है। प्रति स्पष्ट एवं साफ-सुथरी है। इसके अंत में " पिण्डनिज्जुत्ती सम्मत्ता, शुभं भवतु सं. १४२२ वर्षे फाल्गुन सुदि १२ बुधवार दिने लिखिता " ऐसा लिखा है।
(क) यह प्रति श्री हेमचन्द्राचार्य जैन ज्ञानमंदिर पाटण गुजरात से प्राप्त है। इसकी क्रमांक संख्या ३६७७ तथा पत्र संख्या २४ है। इसके पत्र अत्यन्त जीर्ण-शीर्ण हैं लेकिन प्रति के अक्षर स्पष्ट एवं साफ-सुथरे हैं। यह प्रति चौदहवीं-पन्द्रहवीं शताब्दी की होनी चाहिए। इसके अंत में " पिंडनिज्जुत्ती सम्मत्ता ग्रंथाग्र गाथा ७१६ ॥ छ ॥ श्री ॥ श्री ॥ श्री ॥ " का उल्लेख है ।
(ब) यह प्रति जसुभाई लाईब्रेरी अहमदाबाद से प्राप्त है। इसकी क्रमांक सं. ६२३ है । यह २५ सेमी. लम्बी एवं ११ सेमी. चौड़ी है। इसकी पत्र सं. २६ है । यह मोटे अक्षरों में लिखी गई है। इसके अंत में " पिण्डनिज्जुत्ती सम्मत्ता सं. १५५२, वर्षे भाद्रवा बदि १० रावो श्री अणहिल्लपुरपत्तने श्री कोरंग ग्रं. ८०० श्री ॥ " ऐसा उल्लेख है ।
(बी) यह प्रति राजस्थान प्राच्य विद्या प्रतिष्ठान बीकानेर से प्राप्त है। इसकी परिग्रहणांक सं. १३१९४ है । यह २८ सेमी. लम्बी १३ सेमी. चौड़ी है। यह प्रति किनारे से खंडित है अतः अनेक शब्द लुप्त हो गए हैं। प्रति के बीच तथा किनारे पर बड़ा लाल बिन्दु है । इसकी पत्र संख्या २२ है । अंतिम पृष्ठ खाली है। प्रति के अंत में " इति पिण्डनिज्जुत्ती सम्मत्ता शुभं भवतु, ग्रंथाग्र १००० परिपूर्णा श्री पूर्णिमापक्षे श्री विमलेन लिपी कृतवान् श्रीरस्तु संवत् १६५७ वर्षे विशाखसुदि पंचमी दिने ॥" ऐसा उल्लेख है।

## Manuscript Introduction

The following manuscripts and sources were used in the editing of Piṇḍa Nirukta:

**(a)** This manuscript was obtained from the Delā Upāśraya, Ahmedabad. Its serial number is 11458. It is 30 cm long and 11 cm wide. It has 14 pages and the last page is blank. The manuscript is clear and neat. At the end, it says: "Piṇḍa Nijjuttī Sammattā, Shubham Bhavatu Saṃ. 1422 Varṣe Phālgun Sudi 12 Budhavāra Dine Likhitā".

**(k)** This manuscript was obtained from the Śrī Hemchandracharya Jain Jñānamandir, Pāṭan, Gujarat. Its serial number is 3677 and it has 24 pages. Its pages are very old and worn out, but the letters of the manuscript are clear and neat. This manuscript should be from the fourteenth-fifteenth century. At the end, it says: "Piṇḍa Nijjuttī Sammattā Granthāgra Gāthā 716 || Ch || Śrī || Śrī || Śrī ||".

**(b)** This manuscript was obtained from the Jasubhai Library, Ahmedabad. Its serial number is 623. It is 25 cm long and 11 cm wide. It has 26 pages. It is written in bold letters. At the end, it says: "Piṇḍa Nijjuttī Sammattā Saṃ. 1552, Varṣe Bhādravā Badi 10 Rāvo Śrī Aṇahillapura Pattane Śrī Koranga Gran. 800 Śrī ||".

**(B)** This manuscript was obtained from the Rajasthan Prācya Vidya Prasthāna, Bikaner. Its accession number is 13194. It is 28 cm long and 13 cm wide. This manuscript is broken from the edge, so many words are missing. There is a large red dot in the middle and on the edge of the manuscript. It has 22 pages. The last page is blank.
