धणाओ-धणाउ । मालाहिंतो-मालत्तो-मालाओ-मालाउ । गिरीहिंतोगिरित्तो-गिरीओ-गिरीउ ।. Similarly, from दहि, गामणी, गोरी, बुद्धि, तरु, महु, घेणु, वहु &c. Abl. Plu.वच्छाहिंतो-वच्छेहिंतो (Two Sutras applying to words ending in अ are to be remembered here-(1) 'दिर्वा भ्यसि' p. 25-अ is optionally lengthened before भ्यसू, Abl. Plu.; and (2) 'भिस्भ्य स्सुपि' p. 23-अ is changed to ए before भिस्, Inst. Plu., भ्यसू, Abl. Plu., and सुप्, Loc. Plu.), वच्छासुंतो-वच्छेसुंतो -वच्छत्तो-वच्छाओ-वच्छाउ । धणाहिंतो-धणेहिंतो-धणत्तो-धणाओ -धणाउ । मालाहिंतो-मालासुंतो-मालत्तो-मालाओ-मालाउ । गिरीहिंतो-गिरीसुतो-गिरित्तो-गिरीओ-गिरीउ ।. Similarly, from दहि, गामणी, गोरी, बुद्धि, तरु, महु, घेणु, बहु &c. In the case of nouns ending in अ, the Abl. Sing. is formed in two other ways and the Abl. Plu. in one other way in addition to the above-Sing. (1) रामा (The term. ङस् being dropped and the preceding a lengthened by 'ङसेः नुक्' p.25). (2) रामाहि ( The Sing. and Plu. are both changed to हि by 'ङसिसो हि' p. 25. The preceding ais lengthened by 'दिदोत्तोदुङसौ' p. 24 ). Plu. ( 1 ) रामाहि-रामेहि ('दिर्वा भ्यसि' and 'भिसूभ्यस्सुपि'). Thus in the case of nouns ending in 34, the additional forms of the.Abl. are as under:Abl. Sing.

सु, Nom. Sing:, is dropped after nouns
e. g. दे राम । दे गोरि । दे लच्छि । दे वहु । (9) डसोस्त्रियां सर् ॥ २।२।१० ॥ p. 25
ङस्, Gen. Sing., is changed to स्स (स् being doubled because सर is रित्) after nouns, but not in the Fem.e. g. वच्छस्स । दहिस्स । गामणिस्स । तरुस्स । महुस्स । What is the propriety of 'अस्त्रियाम् ? The Sutra does nob hold in the case of Fem. nouns:-गंगाए । गोरीए । घेणूए । वहूए ।
