सत्त्वेषु मैत्रीं गुणिषु प्रमोदं

क्लिष्टेषु जीवेषु कृपापरत्वम् । विपरीतवृत्तौ
माध्यस्थ्यभावं
सदा ममात्मा विदधातु देव ॥
Lord, may my Atman ever entertain friendship towards [all] the living beings, rejoicing at [the sight of] the virtuous, highest compassion for the suffering souls and an attitude of detachment towards the ill-behaved."
