The study of such an Apabhramsa work is important in more than one respect. Apart from its literary value, its prime importance at present lies in the help that it renders to the students of modern Indian regional languages in tracing out their development.
Dr. R. M. Shah bas critically edited the Apabhramsa text with Gujrati Introduction and several important indices. This editing work has earned him the Ph. D. Degree of the Gujarat University. Dr. Shah carried out this research work under the able guidance of Pt. Bechardasji Doshi. I am most thankful to Dr. Shah for agreeing to the publication of this work in the L. D. Series. I hope the publication of this hitherto unpublished Apabhramsa work will be of very great value to the students of Apabhramśa language and literature,
