________________ सप्तोत्तरशतं पर्व ततः श्रुत्वा महादुःखं भवसंसृतिसम्भवम् । कृतान्तवदनोऽवोचत्पनं दीमाभिकाझ्या ॥१॥ मिथ्यापथपरिभ्रान्स्या संसारेऽस्मिन्ननादिके । खिमोऽहमधुनेच्छामि श्रामण्यं समुपासितुम् ॥२॥ पभनाभस्ततोऽवोचदुत्सृज्य नेहमुत्तमम् । अत्यन्तदुर्धरां चयां कथं धारयसीरशी ॥३॥ कथं सहिष्यसे तीव्रान् शीतोष्णादीन् परीषहान् । महाकण्टकतुल्यानि वाक्यानि च दुरात्मनाम् ॥४॥ अज्ञातक्लेशसम्पर्कः कमलकोटकोमलः । कथं भूमितलेरण्ये निशां व्यालिनि नेष्यसि ॥५॥ प्रकटास्थिसिराजालः परमासाद्युपोषितः । कथं परगृहे भिक्षा भोचयसे पाणिभाजने ॥६॥ नासहिष्ठं द्विषां सैन्यं यो मातङ्गघटाकुलम् । नीचापरिभवं स त्वं कथं वा विसहिष्यसे ॥७॥ कृतान्तास्यस्ततोऽत्रोचद् यस्वरस्नेहरसायनम् । परित्यक्तुमहं सोढुस्तस्यान्यस्किमसह्यकम् ॥८॥ यावन्न मृत्युवज्रेग देहस्तम्भो निपात्यते । तावदिच्छामि निर्गन्तुं दुःखान्धाद्भवसकटात् ॥६॥ धारयन्ति न निर्यातं वह्निज्वालाकुलालयात् । दयावन्तो यथा तद्वदुःखतप्ताद्भवादपि ॥१०॥ वियोगः सुचिरेणापि जायते यजवद्विधः । ततो निन्दितसंसारः को न वेत्यात्मनो हितम् ॥११॥ अवश्यं त्वद्वियोगेन दुःखं भावि सुदुःसहम् । मा भूरपुनरपीरवमिति मे मतिरुद्यता ॥१२॥ अथानन्तर भव-भ्रमणसे उत्पन्न महादुःखको सुनकर कृतान्तवक्त्र सेनापतिने दीक्षा लेने की इच्छासे रामसे कहा कि मिथ्यामार्गमें भटक जानेके कारण मैं इस अनादि संसारमें खेदखिन्न हो रहा हूँ अतः अब मुनिपद धारण करनेकी इच्छा करता हूँ ॥१-२॥ तब रामने कहा कि उत्तम स्नेह छोडकर इस अत्यन्त दर्धरचर्याको किस प्रकार धारण करोगे?॥३॥ शीत आदिके तीव्र परीषह तथा महाकण्टकोंके समान दुर्जन मनुष्योंके वचन किस प्रकार सहोगे ? ॥४॥ जिसने कभी क्लेशका सम्पर्क जाना नहीं तथा जो कमलके मध्यभागके समान कोमल है ऐसे तुम हिंसक जन्तुओंसे भरे हुए वनमें पृथिवी तलपर रात्रि किस तरह बिताओगे ? ॥५॥ जिसकी हड्डियों तथा नसोंका जाल स्पष्ट दिख रहा है तथा जिसने एक पक्ष, एक मास आदिका उपवास किया है ऐसे तुम परगृहमें हस्तरूपी पात्रमें भिक्षा-भोजन कैसे ग्रहण करोगे ? ॥॥ जिसने हाथियोंके समूहसे व्याप्त शत्रुओंकी सेना कभी सहन नहीं की है ऐसे तुम नीचजनोंसे प्राप्त पराभवको किस प्रकार सहन करोगे? ॥७॥ ___ तदनन्तर कृतान्तवक्त्रने कहा कि जो आपके स्नेहरूपी रसायनको छोड़नेके लिए समर्थ है उसके लिए अन्य क्या असह्य है ? ॥८॥ जब तक मृत्युरूपी वनके द्वारा शरीर रूपी स्तम्भ नहीं गिरा दिया जाता है तब तक मैं दुःखसे अन्धे इस संसाररूपी संकटसे बाहर निकल जान हूँ ॥६॥ अग्निकी ज्वालाओंसे प्रज्वलित घरसे निकलते हुए मनुष्योंको जिस प्रकार दयालु मनुष्य रोककर उसी घर में नहीं रखते हैं उसी प्रकार दुःखसे संतप्त संसारसे निकले हुए प्राणीको दयालु मनुष्य उसी संसारमें नहीं रखते हैं ॥१०। जब कि अभी नहीं तो बहुत समय बाद भी आप जैसे महान पुरुषोंके साथ वियोग होगा ही तब संसारको बुरा समझनेवाला कौन पुरुष आत्माके हित को नहीं समझेगा ? ॥११।। यह ठीक है कि आपके वियोगसे होनेवाला दुःख अवश्य ही अत्यन्त असह्य है फिर भी ऐसा दुःख पुनः प्राप्त न हो इसीलिए मेरी यह बुद्धिः उत्पन्न हुई है ॥१२॥ १. कृतान्तवक्त्रः सेनापतिः । २. सीदृशम् म० । ३. दुष्टसत्त्वयुक्ते । Jain Education International For Private & Personal Use Only www.jainelibrary.org
