पद्मपुराणे
यस्यावतरणे शान्तिर्जाता सर्वत्र विष्टपे। प्रलयं सर्वरोगाणां कुर्वती यतिकारिणी ॥१४॥ चलिताऽऽसनकैरिन्द्ररागत्योत्तमभूतिभिः । यो मेरुशिखरे हृष्टरभिषिक्तः सुभक्तिभिः ॥१५॥ 'चक्रणारिगणं जित्वा बाह्यं बाह्येन यो नृपः । आन्तरं ध्यानचक्रेण जिगाय मुनिपुङ्गवः ॥१६॥ मृत्युजन्मजराभीतिखगाद्यायुधचञ्चलम् । २भवासुरं परिध्वस्य योऽगासिद्धिपुरं शिवम् ॥१७॥ उपमारहितं नित्यं शुद्धमात्माश्रयं परम् । प्राप्तं निर्वाणसाम्राज्यं येनात्यन्तदुरासदम् ॥१८ तस्मै ते शान्तिनाथाय त्रिजगच्छान्तिहेतवे । नमविधा महेशाय प्राप्तात्यन्तिकशान्तये ।।१।। चराचरस्य सर्वस्य नाथ त्वमतिवत्सलः । शरण्यः परमस्त्राता समाधिद्युतिबोधिदः ॥२०॥ गुरुबन्धुः प्रणेता च स्वमेकः परमेश्वरः । चतुर्णिकायदेवानां सशक्राणां समर्चितः ॥२१॥ स्वं कर्ता धर्मतीर्थस्य येन भव्यजनः सुखम् । प्राप्नोति परमं स्थानं सर्वदुःखविमोक्षदम् ॥२२॥ नमस्ते देवदेवाय नमस्ते स्वस्तिकर्मणे । नमस्ते कृतकृत्याय लब्धलभ्याय ते नमः ॥२३॥ महाशान्तिस्वभावस्थं सर्वदोषविवर्जितम् । प्रसीद भगवन्नुच्चैः पदं नित्यं विदेहिनः ॥२४॥ एवमादि पठन् स्तोत्रं पयः पनायतेक्षणः । चैत्यं प्रदक्षिणं चक्रे दक्षिणः पुण्यकर्मणि ॥२५॥ प्रहाङ्गा पृष्ठतस्तस्य जानकी स्तुतितत्परा । समाहितकराम्भोजकुडमला भाविनी स्थिता ॥२६॥
स्तोत्र पाठ करते हुए उन्होंने कहा कि जिनके जन्म लेते ही संसारमें सर्वत्र ऐसी शान्ति छा गई कि जो सब रोगोंका नाश करनेवाली थी तथा दीप्तिको बढ़ानेवाली थी ॥१४॥ जिनके आसन कम्पायमान हुए थे तथा जो उत्तम विभूतिसे युक्त थे ऐसे हर्षसे भरे भक्तिमन्त इन्द्रोंने आकर जिनका मेरुके शिखर पर अभिषेक किया था ॥१।। जिन्होंने राज्यअवस्थामें बाह्य चक्रके द्वारा बाह्यशत्रुओंके समूहको जीता था और मुनि होने पर ध्यानरूपी चक्रके द्वारा अन्तरङ्ग शत्रुसमूहको जीता था ।।१६।। जो जन्म, जरा, मृत्यु, भयरूपी खङ्ग आदि शस्त्रोंसे चञ्चल संसाररूपी असुरको नष्ट कर कल्याणकारी सिद्धिपर मोक्षको प्राप्त हुए थे ॥१७॥ जिन्होंने उपमा रहित, नित्य, शुद्ध, आत्माश्रय, उत्कृष्ट और अत्यन्त दुरासद निर्वाणका साम्राज्य प्राप्त किया था, जो तीनों लोकोंकी शान्तिके कारण थे, जो महा ऐश्वर्यसे सहित थे तथा जिन्होंने अनन्त शान्ति प्राप्त की थी ऐसे श्रीशान्तिनाथ भगवानके लिए मन, वचन, कायसे नमस्कार हो ॥१८-१६॥ हे नाथ ! आप समस्त चराचर विश्वसे अत्यन्त स्नेह करनेवाले हैं, शरणदाता हैं, परम रक्षक हैं, समाधिरूप तेज तथा रत्नत्रयरूपी बोधिको देनेवाले हैं ।।२०।। तुम्ही एक गुरु हो, बन्धु हो, प्रणेता हो, परमेश्वर हो, इन्द्र सहित चारों निकायोंके देवोंसे पूजित हो ॥२।। हे भगवन् ! आप उस धर्मरूपी तीर्थके कर्ता हो जिससे भव्य जीव अनायास ही समस्त दुःखोंसे छुटकारा देनेवाला परम स्थान-मोक्ष प्राप्त कर लेते हैं ॥२२॥ हे नाथ ! आप देवोंके देव हो इसलिये आपको नमस्कार हो, आप कल्याणरूप कार्यके करनेवाले हो इसलिये आपको नमस्कार हो, आप कृतकृत्य हैं अतः आपको नमस्कार हो और आप प्राप्त करने योग्य समस्त पदार्थोंको प्राप्त कर चुके हैं इसलिये आपको नमस्कार हो ।२३।। हे भगवन् ! प्रसन्न हूजिये और हमलोगोंके लिये महाशान्तिरूप स्वभावमें स्थित, सर्वदोष रहित, उत्कृष्ट तथा नित्यपद-मोक्षपद प्रदान कीजिये ॥२४॥ इसप्रकार स्तोत्र पाठ पढ़ते हुए कमलायतलोचन तथा पुण्य कर्ममें दक्ष श्रीरामने शान्तिजिनेन्द्रको तीन प्रदक्षिणाएँ दो ॥२५॥ जिसका शरीर नम्र था, जो स्तुति पाठ करनेमें तत्पर थी तथा जिसने हस्तकमल जोड़ रखे थे ऐसी भाव भीनी सीता श्रीरामके पीछे खड़ी थी ॥२६।।
१. 'चक्रेण यः शत्रुभयङ्करेण जित्वा नृपः सर्वनरेन्द्र चक्रम् ।
समाधिचक्रेण पुनर्जिगाय महोदयो दुर्जयमोहचक्रम् ॥' बृहत्स्वयंभूस्तोत्रे स्वामिसमन्तभद्रस्य । २. भावासुरं म० । ३. यो नात्यन्त- म० । ३. विह्वल: म० । ४. नः = अस्मभ्यम् ।

Salutations to You, the God of gods, salutations to You, the doer of auspicious deeds, salutations to You, the one who has accomplished everything, salutations to You, the one who has attained everything. ||23||
O Lord, be pleased and grant us the supreme abode of liberation, which is eternally situated in the nature of great peace, free from all faults, and the highest. ||24||
Thus, reciting this hymn, Kamalayatlochan and Shrirāma, who was skilled in virtuous deeds, circumambulated the Shantināth Jina three times. ||25||
Sītā, whose body was humble, who was eager to recite hymns, and whose hands were joined in prayer, stood behind Shrirāma, filled with devotion. ||26||
