________________ ३९४ पद्मपुराणे दृष्ट्वा तं पतितं भूमी पद्मः पद्माभलोचनः । विनियम्य परं शोकं शत्रुघातार्थमुद्यतः ॥४५॥ सिंहयुक्तं 'समारूढः स्यन्दनं क्रोधपूरितः । शत्रुमायातमात्रेण चकार विरथं बली ॥८६॥ रथान्तरं समारूढश्छिन्नपूर्वशरासनः । यावच्चापं समादत्ते भूयोऽथ विरथीकृतः ॥८७॥ पद्माभस्य शरैस्तो दशास्यो विह्वलोकृतः । न समर्थो बभूवेषु ग्रहीतुं न च कार्मुकम् ॥८॥ लोठितोऽपि शरैस्तीब्रेस्तथापि धरणीतले । रथे विलोक्यते भूयो रावणः खेदसंगतः ॥४९॥ विच्छिन्नचापकवचः षड़वारं विरथीकृतः । तथापि शक्यते नैव स साधयितुमद्भुतः ॥१०॥ प्रोक्तश्च पद्मनाभेन परं प्राप्तेन विस्मयम् । नाल्पायुष्को मवानेव यो न प्राप्तोऽसि पञ्चताम् ॥११॥ मद्बाहुप्रेरितैर्बाणवेगवद्भिः शिताननैः । महीभृतोऽपि शीर्यन्ते मन्येऽन्यत्र किमुच्यताम् ॥१२॥ तथापि रक्षितः पुण्यैर्जन्मान्तरसमर्जितः । शृणु जल्पामि किंचित्ते वचनं खेचराधिप ।।९३॥ संग्रामेऽभिमुखो भ्राता यो मे शक्त्या त्वया हतः । प्रेतस्याभिमुखं तस्य वीक्षे यद्यनुमन्यसे ।।९४॥ एवमस्त्विति संभाष्य प्रार्थनामङ्गदुर्विधः । ययौ दशाननो लङ्कामृद्धयाऽऽरखण्डलसंनिमः ॥१५॥ एकस्तावदयं ध्वस्तो मया शत्रु महोत्कटः । इति किंचिद्धति प्राप्तो विवेश भवनं निजम् ॥१६॥ अन्विष्य विक्षतांस्तत्र योधान् विक्रान्तवत्सलः । विवेशान्तःपुरं धीरो दर्शनश्रमनोदनः ॥१७॥ निरुद्धं भ्रातरं श्रुत्वा पुत्राचरणकारिणी । शोचन् प्रियजनं पश्यन्नाशां चक्रे दशाननः ॥९८॥ जिनका शरीर विवश हो गया था ऐसे लक्ष्मण वज्रसे ताड़ित पर्वतके समान पृथिवीपर गिर पड़े ॥८४॥ उन्हें भूमिपर पड़े देख कमल लोचन राम, तीव्र शोकको रोककर शत्रुका घात करनेके लिए उद्यत हुए ॥८५|| सिंहजुते रथपर बैठे एवं क्रोधसे भरे बलवान् रामने सामने जाते ही शत्रुको रथरहित कर दिया ।।८६|| जबतक वह दूसरे रथपर चढ़ता है तबतक रामने उसका धनुष तोड़ दिया। तदनन्तर वह जबतक दूसरा धनुष उठाता है तबतक उसे पुनः रथरहित कर दिया ।।८७|| रामके बाणोंसे ग्रस्त हुआ रावण इतना विह्वल हो गया कि वह न तो बाण ग्रहण करनेके लिए समर्थ था और न धनष हो ॥८८। यद्यपि रामने तीव्र बाणोंके द्वारा रावणको पृथिवीपर लिटा दिया था तथापि वह खेद-खिन्न हो पुनः दूसरे रथपर आरूढ़ हो गया ।।८९।। इस प्रकार यद्यपि रामने छह बार उसका धनुष तोड़ा तथा छह बार उसे रथरहित किया तथापि आश्चयंसे भरा रावण जीता नहीं जा सका ।।१०।। तब परम आश्चर्यको प्राप्त हुए रामने उससे कहा कि आप जब इस तरह मृत्युको प्राप्त नहीं हुए तब अल्पायुष्क नहीं हो, यह निश्चित है ॥९१॥ मैं समझता हूँ कि मेरी भुजाओंसे छोड़े हुए वेगशाली तीक्ष्णमुख बाणोंसे पहाड़ भी ढह जाते हैं फिर दूसरेकी तो बात ही क्या है ॥९२॥ इतना होनेपर भी जन्मान्तरमें संचित पुण्य कर्मने तेरी रक्षा की है। अब हे विद्याधरराज ! सुन, मैं तुझसे कुछ वचन कहता हूँ ।।२३।। संग्राममें सामने आये हुए मेरे जिस भाईको तूने शक्तिके द्वारा घायल किया है वह मरनेके सम्मुख है, यदि तू अनुमति दे तो उसका मुख देख लूँ ॥९४।। तदनन्तर जो प्रार्थना भंग करनेमें दरिद्र था और इन्द्रके समान जिसकी शोभा बढ़ रही थी ऐसा रावण ‘एवमस्तु' कहकर वैभवके साथ लंकाकी ओर चला ॥९५॥ 'यह एक महाबलवान शत्र तो मेरे द्वारा मारा गया' इस प्रकार हदयमें कुछ धैर्यको प्राप्त हुए रावणने अपने भवनमें प्रवेश किया ॥९६॥ पराक्रमी मनुष्योंके साथ स्नेह रखनेवाले धोरवीर रावणने घायल योद्धाओंकी खोज कराकर उनकी ओर प्रेमपूर्ण दृष्टिसे देखा तथा इस तरह उनका खेद दूर कर अन्तःपुरमें प्रवेश किया ॥९७|| भाई कुम्भकर्ण और युद्ध करनेवाले इन्द्रजित् तथा मेघवाहन नामक दो पुत्रोंको शत्रुके पास रुका सुन रावण शोक करने लगा परन्तु प्रियजनोंकी १. समारूढं म. । २. यतः म. । ३. यद्यनुगम्यसे म. । Jain Education International For Private & Personal Use Only www.jainelibrary.org.
