मित्रवर वं. परमानन्दजी शास्त्री और डॉ. रेवरेंड फादर कामिल बुल्के एम. जे. एम. ए., डी. फिल्. अध्यक्ष हिन्दी विभाग, सन्त जेनियर कॉलेज रांची के द्वारा लिखित रामकथाके आधारसे लिखा गया है और कितनी जगह तो हमने उनके ही शब्द आत्मसात् कर लिये हैं इसलिए मैं इन विद्वानोंके प्रति अपनी कृतज्ञता प्रकट करता हूँ । कविवर दौलतरामजी कृत हिन्दी अनुवादका प्रचार जैन समाजमें घर-घर है शायद ही ऐसा कोई दि. जैन मन्दिर हो जहाँ पद्मपुराणकी इस टीकाका सद्भाव न हो । यद्यपि वह टीका अविकल नहीं है सिर्फ काका भाव लेकर लिखी गयी है पर तो भी अनुवादमें तथा कथा सम्बन्ध जोड़नेमें उससे पर्याप्त सहायता मिली है। अतः मैं स्व. कविवर दौलतरामजी के प्रति अपनी अगाध धद्धा प्रकट करता हूँ मैं अत्यन्त अल्पज्ञानी क्षुद्र मानव हूँ इसलिए मुझसे सम्पादन तथा अनुवाद में त्रुटियोंका रह जाना सब तरह सम्भव है। अत: मैं इसके लिए विद्वानोंसे क्षमा प्रार्थी हूँ ।
