by means of showers आसारैः धारासम्पातैः प्रशमितः प्रशान्तिं नीतः वनानां अरण्यानां उपद्रवः दावामिकृतोपद्रवः येन सः । पथगतिपरिश्रान्तितान्तं - fatigued very much by the journey. पथगतेः परिश्रान्त्या तान्तो दूनः । तम् ।

Stanza 66— विरलविरलान् - a few, a little. विरलप्रकाराः विरलविरलाः । तान् । The word विरल is reduplicated to imply the sense of प्रकार under the rule ' प्रकारे गुणोक्तेर्वा ' प्रावृषेण्योदबिन्दून् - drops of water like those falling in the rainy season. प्रावृषि भवाः प्रावृष्येण्याः | The termination is affixed to the word 1 under the rule प्रावृष एण्य: '. As, at the time, when the sage was harrased and asked to perform a jurney, there was no rainy season, the drops of water did not possess the nature of the drops of water that fall in the rainy season. It is, therefore, necessary to exlpain the word प्रावृषेण्य as प्रावृषेण्याः इव प्रावृत्रेण्याः under the rule ' देवपथादिभ्यः ' प्रावृषेण्याश्च ते उदविन्दवश्व प्रावृषेण्योदविन्दवः । तान् । उदकस्य बिन्दवः उदबिन्दवः । The word उदक is changed to 3 under the rule ' मन्थौदनसक्तुभिन्दुवज्रभारहारवी वधगाहे'. वस्त्रक्नोपं - moistening clothes only. The termination णम् is affixed to क्ने प, preceded by the word meaning ' clothes and acting as an object of क्नोप, under the rulo 'चेलार्थे क्नोपे: ' तत्त्वबोधिनी explains this यथा वर्षणे चेलानि शब्दायन्ते तथा वृष्टः इत्यर्थः । अन्ये तु क्नुश्री शब्दे उन्दे च, उन्दी क्लेदने, क्लिदू आर्द्राभावे, इत्येवं क्नोपमिति णमुलन्तस्य प्रकृत्यर्थं पर्यालोच्य यथा वर्षणेन चेलान्यार्द्रीभवन्ति तावद् वृष्ट इति व्याचख्युः । अध्वश्रमः परिगतं - fatigued by journey. अध्वनः मार्गस्य श्रमः अध्वश्रमः । तेन परिगतं व्यासं अध्वश्रमपरिगतम् । सुरतरसिकम् - enjoying the pleasure of coition. प्रान्तपर्यस्तवीणम् - keeping lates aside प्रान्ते समीपप्रदेशे पर्यस्ता त्यक्ता स्थापिता वीणा येन तत् । अश्मवेश्मोदरेषु - in the interior of the caves carved into the rocks. अश्मनां शिलानां वेश्मानि अश्मवेश्मानि । तेषामुदरेषु मध्यप्रदेशेषु ।
