There is stated to be one kind of agurulaghupariņāma, as it is taking place in all substances constantly by rhythmic rise and fall, while sabda parināma (transformation of sound) is of two kinds, viz. surabhiśabdaparināma and durabhisabdaparināma (transformations of pleasant and unpleasant sounds). 2 .
Besides, there are stated to be five kinds of indriyavisayapudgalaparinäma (transformation of sense-object-matter), viz. śrotrendriyavişayapudgalapariņāma (transformation of auditory sense-object-matter) up to sparģendriya-visaya-pudgalapariņāma (transformation of tactile sense-object-matter). They are again sub-divided into different kinds. Śrotrendriyavisayapudgalapariņāma is of two kinds, viz. surabhiśabdapariņāma (transformation of pleasant sound and durabhisabdapariņāma (transformation of unpleasant sound).
