of the important publications of the “Trust” which provides basic definitions of jain dogmatics and introduces the eager seeker of truth and happiness to the realm of jain philosphy, is "Laghu Jain Siddhanta Praveshika”. This small booklet is an abridged edition of “Jain Siddhanta Praveshika” which the late famous and learned Pandit Shri Gopaldasji Baraiya had compiled from several books on Jain philosophy.
“A short Reader to Jain Doctrines” is the English translation of “Laghu Jain Siddhanta Praveshika” which I hope and trust, will fulfil the longfelt need of thousands of non-Hindi knowing seekers of truth in our country and abroad, helping them to enter the realm of Jain Nyaya and philosophical teachings. I am thankful to the late Shri N.C.Jhaveri, Ex-president of D.J.S.M. Trust, Songad, Pt. Shri Khemchand Bhai, J. Seth, Songad, and Pt. Shri Babu Bhai, C. Metha, Fatepur, for constantly inspiring me to take up this work.
