XX : CANDRAVEDHYAKA PRAKĪRNAKA
prakīrnakas by eightyfour thousand monks of the order of Lord Rśabhadeva are mentioned in the Samavāyāngasūtra! As there were fourteen thousand monks in the order of Lord Mahāvīra, it is believed that the same number of prakīrņakas might have been composed in His order. However, today, the prakiīrņakas are believed to be ten in number.
