________________ 146 APPENDIX The donee Vajranandi-kuravar is stated, in the Sanskrit portion, to belong to the Nandi-sangha. This inscription contains one of the earliest references to the term paļļiccandam signifying a grant of land given in particular to a Jaina temple or institution or preceptor.
