पयोधरभरालसाः स्मरविघूर्णितार्वेक्षणाः क्वचित् सलयपञ्चमोच्चरितगीतझङ्कारिणीः । विहाय रमणीरमूरपरमोक्षसौरव्यार्थिनामहो जडिम डिण्डिमो विफलभण्डपाखण्डिनाम् ॥
Nilapata seems to be the same as the poet Nilapatta cited in Saduktikarnamṛta which quotes from him the following playful verse on the irony of Siva's burning the god of love. It would seem that Nilapata or Nilapaṭṭa was a poet who laid stress on the pleasures of love.
भयं स भुवनत्रयप्रथितसंयमी शङ्करो बिभर्ति वपुषाधुना विरहकातरः कामिनीम् । अनेन किल निर्जिता वयमिति प्रियायाः करं करेण परिलालयन् जयति जातहासः स्मरः ॥
The following verse is attributed in Book IV to Vararuci (p. 99): प्राणाघातानिवृत्तिः परधनहरणे संयमः सत्यवाक्यं काले शक्त्या प्रदेयं युवतिजनकथामूकभावः परेषाम् । तृष्णास्त्रोतोविबन्धो गुरुषु च विनतिः सर्वभूतानुकम्पा सामान्यं सर्वशास्त्रेष्वनुपहतविधिः श्रेयसामेष मार्गः ॥ The verse is found in the Nirnaya Sagara edition of Bhartṛhari's Nitisataka, but seems to be an interpolation. It is not included in Jivananda's edition of the work in Kavyasaṁgraha, vol. II. Somadeva refers to Bhartṛhari in the above list, and must have been acquainted with his work. It is hardly possible that he would have missed the verse in Nitisataka if it had formed part of the text. The verse in question is put in the mouth of Vararuci in a story in Durgasimha's Kanarese rendering of the Pañcatantra, based on Vasubhāga's Sanskrit version of the work; but as the latter recension is no longer extant, it is difficult to say whether Somadeva borrowed the verse from Vasubhaga.1
Two verses of Bhartṛhari are quoted by Somadeva in Book V without mentioning their author, one from S'ṛngārasataka and the other from Nitisataka, the printed text of the S'atakas showing slight variations:
स्त्रीमुद्रां झषकेतनस्य महतीं सर्वार्थसंपत्करीं ये मोहादवधीरयन्ति कुधियो मिथ्याफलान्वेषिणः । ते तेनैव निहत्य निर्दयतरं मुण्डीकृता लुञ्चिताः केचित् पञ्चशिखीकृताश्च जटिनः कापालिकाश्चापरे ॥ नमस्यामो देवान्ननु हतविधेस्तेऽपि वशगा विधिर्निन्द्यः सोऽपि प्रतिनियतकर्मान्तफलदः । फलं कर्मायत्तं यदि किमपरैः किंच विधिना नमः सत्कर्मभ्यः प्रभवति न येभ्यो विधिरपि ॥

As pointed out elsewhere, Somadeva quotes a large number of verses on the ministers of kings from various poets, but it is doubtful whether they are historical names. There is a similar reference to a poet named Ganapati in the verse quoted below:
वृत्तिच्छेद स्त्रिदश विदुषः कोहलस्यार्थहा निर्मान ग्लानिर्गणपतिकवेः शंकरस्याशु नाशः । धर्मध्वंसः कुमुदकृतिनः केकटेश्च प्रवासः पापादस्मादिति समभवद्देव देशे प्रसिद्धिः ॥
It is stated in the verse that the wicked minister Pamarodara insulted the poet Ganapati. Śrutasägara in his commentary takes Tridaśa, Kohala
