If we take up some details of each Pariccheda, we find that they deal with the following topics
1st - Definition of Kävya, its purposes, ataufgter and its benefits, quaffaqes.
2nd - Different types of verbs together with their roots and meanings that a poet can use, in the different lists.
3rd - लोककौशल, संस्कृत and प्राकृत आभाणिक - sayings, branches of knowledge, Anuprāsa, Upamā etc.
4th - atualmura, 145Sfagriliato 5th - 3 tefs or homonyms and their lists from different points of view. 6th - Treatment of Rasa and Bhava in the method of सूत्र, वृत्ति and उदाहरण.
It is clear that with the exception of the 6th Pariccheda, which is traditional in its content and treatment, others deal directly with training and equipment of a poet, not only the aspiring one, but also one who tries to improve his poetic faculty and to scale far higher heights as a poet. Dr. H. G. Shastri states :
"The study of poetics may make him proficient in the theoretical discourse on poetry, but these instructions could serve him directly in the practical procedure of poetic compositions. Hence the subject of Instructions to Poets in the composition of Poetry developed side by side with Poetics. In course of time the subject was styled कविशिक्षा or काव्यशिक्षा"21.
With regard to the achievement of Vinaya Candra, he adds--
"On the whole, lofgre by Ācārya Vinayacandra seems to be a lucid and comprehensive treatise on the subject and would serve as a valuable manual to the aspiring poet for making literary compositions in prose as well as verse "22
If we were to compare the contents of the two works of Amara Candra and Vinaya Candra, the very first fact to be noted is that the purpose of both works is the same.
