And, Mammața : Kavyaprakāśa X.31. In his Vịtti Mammața, it deserves to be noted, speaks of the 'Trirūpa' hetu and not of Pancarūpa' hetu. One may be justified from this reference to infer that Mammața does not insist on the regular, rigid, logical hetu in poetry. Jagannatha's discussion about 'anumāpa' alamkära in the context of Milita alamkāra also shows that he does not insist on the rigorous anumāna in the field of poetry.
