________________ Parigraha-tyāgaḥa Notes: Even though the monk might have got religious accessories, he should be considered as possessionless if only he has with him a lamp of knowledge. Having accessories cannot prove that he is possessive. Just as a lamp in a windless place does not flicker, such a monk does not become ruffled even in the presence of accessories. Though he has accessories, he is as a matter of fact, without them because he has no craving for them.
