[27] Influences from the previous Tradition
The fact is that as can be seen from the Introduction to śāntisūri's HTTG-T740, the latter is īśvarasūri's model for his LC. He surpasses his Guru's poem in metrical richness, descriptions etc. Besides, īśvarasuri has quoted from Utarani (v. 116), Helite (v. 40-41) and from 3469141611 (v. 180-181). Some Dohās are borrowed from the Apabhraíśa illustrations given in the Siddhahema (8-4) e.g. v. 466-467. Several other Dohās are obviously borrowed from those that were popular and current during his times. v. no. 100 is possibly borrowed from the TAT&Tut of ifgarca (v. 67).
At several places the author gives Pratikas only of the verses which must have been familiar.
The following number of verses are not given in full in the MS. but only Pratika words are quoted : (1). Reference is given to the Mangala Gāthā of the HTRGA DGTH. 12. It off9 HITS TOT 80 13. for ab-hocfe f413 po 14. The preifa go 104. staş fafarafai 80 180-181. प्रतीकs cited for two Gatha's of the उपदेशमाला. 186. Only the प्रतीक is given : जं चिय विहिणा लहियं. 188-189. Only the talis of the cel are cited. 196. Only the sailon is given.
