Notes: The first word gives the name of the dialect. It is in the locative singular. Possibly we have to read सुम्हाए. सुझ- ( Pk सुम्ह - under SH 8-2-74 ) is wellknown as the name of a country in West Bengal, But the name of the dialect is definitely not Lați as assumed by Daniélou and Bhatt.

DN. 7,91 : विरहो रह कोसु भेसु and 7, 68 को भयम्म विरहाल. Hemacandra has paraphrased कोसुभ with कुसुम्भरक्तं वस्त्रम्. The latter part of the first line is short by four Matras. So is supplied conjecturally. For दुल्लग्ग see note no. 1 under verse 10 above, DN 5, 14 : तुंगी रयणी.
धव - is quite an old Sanskrit word, current also in Prakrit.
