બદલી પણ નાખ્યા છે. આમ કરવાથી ગ્રંથનો વિષય સમજવામાં સરળતા થઈ, પરંતુ બીજી બાજુ જૈન આગમોની મૌલિક ભાષામાં ઘણું જ પરિવર્તન થઈ ગયું, જેને લીધે આજે “જૈન આગમોની મૌલિક ભાષા કેવી હતી તે શોધવાનું કાર્ય દુષ્કર જ થઈ ગયું. આ પરિવર્તન માત્ર અમુક આગમ પુરતું મર્યાદિત નથી, પરંતુ દરેક દરેક આગમમાં અને એથી આગળ વધીને ભાષ્યચૂર્ણ ગ્રંથોમાં સુદ્ધા આ ભાષા-પરિવર્તન દાખલ થઈ ગયું છે. એટલે જેને આગમોની મૌલિક ભાષાના શોધકે જૈન આગમ-ભાષ્ય આદિની જુદા જુદા કુલની પ્રતિઓ એકત્ર કરીને અતિ ધીરજથી નિર્ણય કરવાની જરૂરત છે..............................................(જુદા જુદા ભંડારોની में सरलता हो गई, परंतु दूसरी तरफ जैन आगमों की मूल भाषा में बड़ा ही परिवर्तन आ गया, जिससे "जैन आगमों की मूल भाषा कैसी थी" उसे खोज निकालने का कार्य दुष्कर हो गया । यह परिवर्तन मात्र अमुक आगम तक ही मर्यादित नहीं है परंतु हरेक हरेक आगम में और उससे भी आगे बढ़कर भाष्य चूर्णी ग्रंथों में भी यह भाषा-परिवर्तन प्रवेश कर गया है। अतः जैन आगमों की मौलिक भाषा के संशोधक को जैन आगम, भाष्य आदि की अलग अलग कुल की प्रतियां इकट्ठी करके अति धीरज के साथ निर्णय करने की जरुरत है।... convenient to understand the subject matter easily, but on the other hand the original language of the Āgamas 'inderwent a major change and due to that it became very difficult to find out "what was the original form of the language". This transformation is not limited to any one Agama text but it has intruded each and every canonical text including the commentarial works (bhāşya-curņi). Therefore, it requires great patience on the part of a researcher to investigate the original features of the language by collecting the variant readings from the manuscripts of different groups of the above mentioned works.
