INTRODUCTION. Kasaya Pahuda deals with the Mohaniya Karman (Attachment in general) and its sub-divisions in their latent (satva) condition with especial reference to Anuyoga-dvaras, e.i. Existence (Sat), number, place, time, difference etc. Therefore the term Mūla Praksti (Main natural division of-Karman action) and Uttara Praksti (Subdivision of Karman) denote here Mohaniya and its subdivision respectively. This volume 'PayadiVihatti' describes the distribution of the Mohaniya in all possible details further deviding the same into the MūlaPraksti-Vibhakti (distribution of the Mohaniya) and the Uttara- Praksti-Vibhakti (distribution of the subdivision of the Mohaniya).
The Aĉarya goes deeper in his treatment of The Uttara-Praksti-Vibhkti by creating two divisions namely Ekaika-Uttara-Praksti-Vibhakti and PrakstiSthana-Uttara-Prakști-Vibhakti. The former describes individually every subdivision of the Mohaniya keeping all aspects in veiw and the later brings out clearly the distribution of the sub-divisions of the Mohaniya in fifteen main places while in existence alone. Thus the study of this volume is enough to enable one to procure the full psychological knowlege of the king of Karmans e.i. the Mohaniya.
The introduction of the previous volume (I) of the same will furnish with detailed information as regards the Text, Cūrni-Vţtti, Jayadhavala-commentary there upon, the life of the author and the commentators and other things referred to here.
