EDUCATIONAL PROBLEMS
In the last 50 years, education has spread significantly in our country, because the number of o universities increased from 25 in 1951 to 235 in 1998, the number of colleges increased from 700 to 8545, and the number of schools increased from 2,30,683 to
2.4 crores (24 millions). Although we get degrees o through this education, we become disappointed if we
think about in what way and how much this education is helpful in our day-to-day life. Plenty of green grass grows everywhere from the first rain, but it is neither edible nor useful to us. Similarly, thousands of students graduate from the universities every year, but they can not become financially self-reliant through that Y education; and hence the number of educated unemployed increases day by day. This way, our education has lost the relevance with the reality. V
If we look at the history of our education from ancient time to 1940, we clearly get the glimpse of the gentle relation between the teacher and the taught. Slowly, this sacred and admirable relationship has been
