(b) To set up Libraies and Museums for Prakrit manuscripts, painting, coins, archaeological
find and other material of historical and cultural importance. (5) To preserve manuscripts discovered or available in various Bhandars throughout India, by
modern scientific means inter alia photostat, microfilming, photography, lamination and
other latest scientific methods. (6) To manage or enter into any other working arrangements with other Societies having any of
their objects similar or allied to any of the objects of the Society. (7) To undertake such activities as are incidental and conducive, directly or indirectly, to and in
furtherance of any of the above objects. From its inception the Prākrit Text Society was fortunate to have received the active support of Late Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the First President of Republic of India, who was its Chief Patron and also one of the six Founder Member.
HEREWITH we are publishing Second part of Paumacariya of Vimalasuri. The First Part was issued in 1962. Over and above giving the Hindi Translation as in the First Part, this second Part includes some valuable APPENDICES and NOTES on the Orthography of the MSS. etc. For preparing the latter we are thankful to Dr. K. R. Chandra.*
