सप्तत्रिंशः सर्गः
वंशस्थवृत्तम् अथात्र यवृत्तमतीव पावनं पुरैव तु श्रेणिक लोकहर्षणम् । दशाह मुख्यस्य 'सुसौर्यवासिनः शृणु प्रवक्ष्येऽवहितस्तदद्भुतम् ॥३॥ जिनस्य नेमेस्त्रिदिवावतारतः पुरैव षण्मासपुरस्सरा सुरैः । प्रवर्तिता तजननावधिहे हिरण्यवृष्टिः पुरुहूतशासनात् ॥२॥ तया पतन्त्या वसुधारयाधभातत्रिकोटिसंख्यापरिमाणया जगत् । प्रतपितं प्रत्यहमर्थि सर्वतः क पात्रभेदोऽस्ति धनप्रवर्षिणाम् ॥३॥ दिशा मुखेभ्यः समितास्तदाश्रिता दिशां कुमार्यः परिचर्यया शिवाम् । दिशां च चक्रस्य जयं जगत्त्रये दिशन्त्यपत्येन जिनेन जिष्णुना ॥५॥ समेत्य पत्यातिशयप्रदर्शनादतीव संहृष्टमतिः शिवान्यदा।। ददर्श सा सुसमिमान् निशान्तरे प्रशंसितान् स्वप्नवरान् हि षोडश ॥५॥ समन्ततोऽश्रान्तमदाम्बुनिझरः प्रतिध्वनिम्याप्तदिगिन्द्र पो द्विपः । तया तमालासितभृङ्गाङकृतिरलोकि कैलास इवाचलाचलः ॥६॥ सुशृङ्गमुत्तुङ्ग ककुत्खनखुरं प्रलम्बसास्नायतबालधीक्षणम् ।
सितं घनोद्रेकितधीरमम्बिकामहोक्षमक्षिप्रियमैक्षत क्षणम् ॥७॥ अथानन्तर-गौतम स्वामी कहते हैं कि हे श्रेणिक ! दशा)में मुख्य सौर्यपुर निवासी राजा समुद्रविजयके यहां भगवान्के गर्भ में आनेके पहलेसे हो जो लोकको हर्षित करनेवाला परम पवित्र आश्चर्य हुआ था उसे मैं कहता हूँ सो सावधान होकर सुनो ॥१।। भगवान् नेमि जिनेन्द्रके स्वर्गावतारसे छह माह पहलेसे लेकर जन्मपर्यन्त-पन्द्रह मास तक इन्द्रको आज्ञासे राजा समुद्रविजयके घर देवोंने धनकी वर्षा जारी रखी ॥२॥ वह धनको धारा प्रतिदिन, तीन बार साढ़े तीन करोड़की संख्याका परिमाण लिये हुए पड़ती थी और उसने सब ओर याचक जगत्को सन्तुष्ट कर दिया था सो ठीक ही है क्योंकि धनकी वर्षा करनेवालोंको पात्र भेद कहां होता है ?|३|| उस समय पूर्वादि दिशाओंके अग्रभागसे आयी हुई दिक्कुमारी देवियां परिचर्या द्वारा माता शिवादेवीकी सेवा कर रही थीं और उससे यह सूचित कर रही थीं कि जो विजयी जिन बालक माताके गर्भ में आनेवाला है उसने तीनों जगत् में समस्त दिशाओंके समूहको जीत लिया है ॥४॥ पतिके साथ मिलकर नाना प्रकारके अतिशय देखनेसे जिसकी बुद्धि अत्यन्त हर्षित हो रही थी ऐसी शिवादेवीने एक दिन रात्रिमें सोते समय नीचे लिखे सोलह उत्तम स्वप्न देखे ॥५॥
पहले स्वप्नमें उसने इन्द्रका वह ऐरावत हाथी देखा जिसके सब ओरसे निरन्तर लगातार मदरूपी जलके निर्झर झर रहे थे, जिसने अपनी ध्वनिसे दिशाओंको व्याप्त कर रखा था, जिसपर तमालक समान काल-काले भ्रमर झंकार कर रहे थे और जो कैलास पर्वतके समान स्थिर था॥६॥ दूसरे स्वप्न में अम्बिकाका वह महावृषभ देखा जिसके सुन्दर सींग थे, जिसकी कांदोल ऊंची उठ रही थी, जिसके खुर पृथिवीको खोद रहे थे, जिसकी सास्ना-गलकम्बल अत्यन्त लम्बी थी, जिसकी पूँछे और आंखें अत्यन्त दीघं थीं, जो रंगमें सफ़ेद था, मेघकी गर्जनाके समय गम्भीर १. सुशौर्यवासिनः घ. । २. सुप्तं यथा स्यात्तथा । पूततमान्-ख. । स्वप्न इमान् म. । ३. अचलाचलः इति, अचलाचल: स्थिर इत्यर्थः । चलाचल: ख., चलाऽमलः क. इवाचलोऽचल: ग.।

From the time of the Jina's descent from the heavens, six months before his birth, the gods, following the command of Indra, showered the house of King Samudravijaya with gold. ||2||

This rain of gold, falling daily in a quantity of three and a half crore, filled the world with joy. It satisfied all the beggars. Indeed, what difference is there in the recipients of a rain of wealth? ||3||

From the directions, the Dikkumari goddesses, who had come from the front of the directions, were serving the mother Shivadevi with devotion. They were announcing that the victorious Jina, who was about to be born in the mother's womb, had conquered the entire group of directions in the three worlds. ||4||

Seeing various wonders with her husband, Shivadevi's mind was filled with great joy. One night, while sleeping, she saw sixteen auspicious dreams. ||5||

In the first dream, she saw Indra's Airavata elephant, from whose every side flowed continuous streams of intoxicating water. The elephant filled the directions with its sound, and on its back, black bees, like dark tamala flowers, buzzed. The elephant was as stable as Mount Kailasa. ||6||

In the second dream, she saw Ambika's great bull, with beautiful horns, a high hump, hooves that dug into the earth, a very long tail and neck, and very long eyes. The bull was white in color, and its voice was as deep as the roar of a cloud. ||7||
