Such persons are called as pāpānu. bandhi punya jīvas. Hence, the principle of pāpa and punya is described in the Jaina literature with various points of view. By the noumenal point of view, being the fetters for ātman, regarded abandonable and kept in one category. While by behavioural point of view, pāpā is outrightly abandonable; but punya is acceptable upto some extent. Because, on account of this, ātman may progress and get the path of salvation, which is the ultimate goal and real home of mundane soul.
