417. 'ततस् '-'तदा'-(एतयोः), "तो" (आशा) । In Apabhrarnsa स्तस् and तदा assume then adesa. तो.
जइ भगा पारकडा ले सहि मा पिएण। अह भग्गा अम्हहं तणा तो. ते मारिअलेग ॥

(1) प्रियसङ्गमे कुतः निद्रा, प्रियस्य परोक्षस्य (सलः) (प्रिये परीक्षे सति) कायम्। - मया द्वे अपि विपाक्षिसे, निद्रा न एवं म तथा ।
“How could I sleep when my lover is beside me; how (also) could I (ever) sleep when he is away ? 1 have lost (sleep) both ways-there is no sleep this way or that."
