Iryapathiki Prajñāpană discusses the question as to with regard to which things the vicious acts are performed. For instance, the act of doing injury 18 to life could be performed with regard to all the six types of living beings. That is, a living being belonging to this or that from among 24 classes can do injury to a living being of this or that type from among the six types (1574-75). Living beings tell falsehood with regard to all the substances (1576). They can steal all the things that can be grasped (1577). They can perform the sexual act on rūpa or substances having rūpa (1578). They can accumulate and possess all the substances (1579). Regarding the remaining vices, viz. anger, pride etc. we 18. The following statement occurs in Bhagavati (17.4.601; 1.6.52). "puttha kajjai no aputtha kajjai". It is obvious that here the term 'kriya' is employed in the sense of (material) karma.
