-This is the printed edition critically prepared by Āgamoddhāraka Shri Sāgarānandasūriji and published in 1974-75 V. S. by Āgamodaya Samiti, Surat. This edition contains the Prajñāpanāsūtra along with the commentary by Āc. Shri Malayagiri.
No ms. of the Prajñāpanāsūtra, that we have seen so far in various ancient bhandāras is older than the two Fo and so that have been utilised by us in the preparation of the present edition.
ABOUT THE PRESENT EDITION
The first part of the Prajñāpanāsūtra contains the complete text of the Sūtra. Appendices to the text will be given in the second part. And hence their description too will appear in the 'Editors' Note' to that part.
For an account of the critical method we have adopted for editing the Āgamas, readers are requested to refer to the Editor's Note' (pp. 88–95) to the Nandisutta and Anuyogaddārāiñ printed by Shri Mahavira Jaina Vidyalaya, Bombay.
