તા. ૭–૨–૧૯૨૬ ના રોજ, કાઠિયાવાડના પોલિટિકલ એજન્ટ મિ. સી. સી. વોટસનને જે અરજી કરવામાં આવી હતી, તેને પણ તેમના સેક્રેટરી મિ. સી. એલ. કારફિલ્ડ તરફથી જે ઇન્કાર ભણવામાં આવ્યો હતો અને, વધારામાં, આ બાબત અંગે રૂબરૂ મુલાકાત લેવાની જે વાત જણાવવામાં આવી હતી, તે નીચે મુજબ હતી
“With reference to their letter dated the 7th February, 1926 on the above subject, Sheth Kasturbhai Lalbhai and others, Managing Representatives of Sheth Anandji Kalianji, are informed that the Hon'ble the Agent to the Governor General has again considered his previous orders which will now be carried out.
“2. He is however ready to grant an interview at any time but can hold out no hope of changing his order.
"3. He will be pleased to see the representatives on the 18th, 21st or 22nd instant at 11 A. M. at the Residency, Rajkot."

અરજીની નકલ પિતાની ઓફિસમાંની નકલમાંથી કરી લેવાની પેઢીને અનુમતિ આપી તેને નિર્દેશ એમણે, તા. ૨૫-૩-૧૯૨૬ ના રોજ, આપેલ વચગાળાના હુકમ (ad interim order )માં નીચેના શબ્દોમાં કરેલો હત
“After considerable discussion I agreed, without prejudice to the question of procedure, to allow the firm's representatives to see the copy of the Darbar's representation upon my file and to take a copy of it in my office."

તા. ૨૫-૩-૧૮૨૬ સુધીમાં લખી મોકલવાની વાતને પહેલાં સ્વીકાર કર્યો તે વાતને ઉલેખ પણ મિ. સી. સી. વોટસનના વચગાળાના હુકમમાં નીચેના શબ્દોમાં કરવામાં આવ્યા હતા
