A NOTE ON JAINA AGAMAS
The Amgavijjāpainṇaya is an important work on prognostication. Its extent is 9000 slokas. It explains how to predict from various overt behaviour and activities. It does not deal with the divination through the positions of stars, etc. or through lines on the palm. It considerably draws upon the science of psychology and the science of anatomy. No other work on prognostication, as voluminous as the Amgavijjā, is available in Indian literature.
