Queen Trishalä Had Fourteen (Sixteen) Dreams After Lord Mahävir's* Soul Entered Her Womb
Queen Trishalä had fourteen dreams when she became pregnant. (According to Digambar tradition, Queen Trishalä had sixteen dreams adding a pair of fish and a lofty throne.) All the dreams symbolized the good qualities of her child. Queen Trishalä was very happy to be having such a wonderful child. That child was Lord Mahävir*. He showed us the path to freedom from the cycle of birth and death. The fourteen (Shvetämbar tradition) / sixteen (Digambar tradition) dreams were: 01 Lion

16 Throne** Rushabhadev's mother dreamt of Bull, Elephant and Lion; while the mothers of Tirthankars number two to twenty-three dreamt of Elephant, Bull and Lion.
