बहुत से देवों और देवियों के ऊपर-नीचे आने-जाने से वह रात्रि प्रकाशमान हो गई।
१२५. जिस रात्रि में श्रमण भगवान् महावीर कालधर्म को प्राप्त हुए यावत् सर्व दुःखों से रहित हुए, उस रात्रि में बहुत से देवों के आने-जाने से हलचल मच गई और सर्वत्र कल-कल नाद व्याप्त हो गया।
१२६. जिस रात्रि में श्रमरण भगवान् महावीर कालधर्म को प्राप्त हुए यावत् उनके समस्त दुःख नष्ट हो गए, उस रात्रि में उनके ज्येष्ठ अन्तेवासी गोतमगोत्रीय इन्द्रभूति अनगार का भगवान् महावीर से जो रागस्नेहबन्ध था उसके नष्ट हो जाने से उन्हें अन्तरहित सर्वोत्कृष्ट यावत् श्रेष्ठ केवलज्ञान और केवलदर्शन उत्पन्न हुआ ।
१२७. जिस रात्रि में श्रमरण भगवान् महावीर कालधर्म को प्राप्त हुए यावत् सर्व दुःखों से मुक्त हुए, उस रात्रि में काशीदेश के मल्लवंशीय नौ गणराजा और कौशल देश के लिच्छवीवंशीय नौ गणराजा, इस प्रकार अठारह
state beyond pain, many a gods and goddesses glided up and down the skies, shedding lustre in the dark.
125. On that night, as countless gods and goddesses glided resplendently in ascending and descending movements, there was a great bewilderment all around and a mighty tumult of wonder arose in the world.
126. And on that night, Indrabhūti, a home-less mendicant of the Jñata clan and the chief disciple of Bhagavan Mahavira, was at last freed of all the bonds of attachment and attained the boundless, ultimate kevala-knowledge.
127. On that moonless night, eithteen democratic princely chiefs (gana-räjänaḥ)-nine Mallakas and nine Licchavis of Kasi and Kausala,
