Graduates' Asrintion XTKA The Jain Swetamber Graduates' Association
of India. As the heroic well-wishers of the Jain Community of India are trying their utmost either through local Panchayats, clubs, societies or personal exertions to contribute to the welfare of the Jain Swetamber Conference, so the benevolent.Jain Swetamber Graduates present at the meetings of the Third Conference at Baroda, irrespective of local barriers, taking themselves to be fellows of one great and influential body of graduates thought it fit to assist the Conference by starting the above-named Association. They met together in the evening of the 29th November 1904, in the Conference Mandap when Mr. Golabchand Dhadda M. A., of Jaipur, presided.
The work done was as follows :
1. That this association be styled “ The Jain Swetamber Graduates' Association of India ;”
2. That the word "Graduate " indicate the graduates of all Universities, High Court Pleaders, District Pleaders, Doctors and Barristers ;
3. That Mr. Golabchand Dhadda M. A. of Jaipur be appointed President, Doctor Balabhai Maganlal Nanavati L. M. &. S. of Baroda be appointed Vice-President and Mr. Motichand Girdhar Kapadia B. A., LL. B., of Bhownagar, now in Bombay, be appointed Secretary of the Association ; 4. That the aims and objects of the Association be --
(a) To secure the co-operation of all Jain Graduates; (6) To further the projects of the Jain Swetamber
Conference ; (c) To meet at least once a year with individual re
. ports of work done during the year ; (d) To contribute to the Conference Paper articles
in English on religious, educational and social
questions; @) To procure donors to the Conference Fund; (N.B.
Donors through this Association to the Conference Fund will be taken as sympathisers of the Association.)
