The Asvins invited to the Soma sacrifice like a pair of Swans hastening to the water:

The last two references are, therefore, to these birds. None of the Geese can be intended as they live and move in flocks of some size when away from their breeding grounds.
White horses (FQF: ‘shining and therefore 'white') running, in a race or otherwise, in a line are compared to Swans flying in a line :
