ગુજરાત કાઠીયાવાડના પૂર્વના કાઇ કઠીન પાપકર્મના ઉદયથી ગયા અઠવાડીયામાં અતિવૃષ્ટિ થતાં ભારે સંકટની સ્થિતિમાંથી પસાર થયેલ છે. એકાએક અણુધાર્યો સંકટમાં ત્યાંના મનુષ્ય તથા પશુએ વગેરેને ઉતારી દીધા છે. અનેક ગામેાના ગામા તણાયા છે પાણીમાં ડુબ્યા છે. મનુષ્યા અને પશુએ હજારો મકાના પડવાથી અને જલ પ્રવાહમાં તણાઈને માટી સખ્યામાં મરણુ શરણુ થયા છે. કુટુંબના કુટુંબે ધરબાર વગેરેથી રખડતાં થતાં તેમને વીતેલ સંકટા સાંભળી પાષાણ હૃદયાને પીગળાવીને આખામાં અશ્રુની ધારા વહેવડાવે છે. કાઠીયાવાડ કરતાં ગુજરાત પ્રાંતમાં ઉપરાકત નુકસાન વિશેષ થયું છે. ઉત્તરે આયુ, દક્ષીણે ભરૂચ, પૂર્વ પશ્ચિમ માળવા અને દાઢાદ ગુજરાતના મોટા ભાગ, બને ભાલ પ્રદેશેા અને ઝાલાવાડ પ્રાન્ત સુધી આ તાાને ગંભીર રૂપ પકડયું હતું. વડેદરા અને આસપાસના ગામે. ખેડા અને તેના જીલ્લામાં આમેદ, જયુસર તેમજ અમદાવાદ અને આસપાસના ગામેા ભરૂચ વગેરે સ્થળે અનેક મનુષ્યા એ આ કાપમાંથી બચવા ત્રાડે વાહે
