The Rodale Institute - Shinji Shumeikai Partnership: Regenerative Agriculture The global partnership of the Rodale Institute and Shinji Shumeikai works with people worldwide to create a regenerative food system that renews environmental and human health. Growing food in this way incorporates nature's intrinsic regenerative tendencies into garden and farm systems. Over generations, this gives the greatest chance of providing food quantity and quality while sustaining environmental health. By practicing natural and regenerative agriculture, this partnership begins to think about how we relate to nature and how we can act as a part of nature. Eventually, agriculture becomes transcendental, and because of this truth, regenerative agriculture has great potential to change our attitude towards nature for the better. REEP: The Religious Education and Environmental Program REEP - the Religious Education and Environment Program - works with teachers and educators from all faiths in order to equip them with techniques for teaching environmental education. REEP is founded on the conviction that concern for nature is essential to religion, and that religious awareness has a vital contribution to make to the natural world. Through tailor-made teacher-training events delivered by experienced facilitators from all the main faiths, REEP enables teachers to return to their classrooms with information, materials, and classroom activities to help pupils explore the world around them. The workshops encourage students to explore the rele vance of traditional religious teachings, develop their own beliefs and values concerning the environment, and find ways to take practical action based upon their beliefs and values.
